In today's society social media has been the back bone of how many people live their lives, some use these platforms to establish an income and some use it just for the fun of it. When it comes to being famous the article did a great job at describing how it all works behind the scenes of these people. The way the article tells the reader how everything works behind the scenes is great because without looking into these type of things the general public would have no clue. When talking about how when we google our names, how google and the EU have in a way teamed up, I found that interesting as it does make sense that the most generic names out there do not have any google platform and personal information is hidden for security reasons. During this reading, I myself went ahead and experimented with putting name in google to see what happens and if this article was telling the truth. The results were as predicted to be, true where all the points made in the reading were presented as true. The other interesting fact that was brought up in the reading was when googling Rihanna, that name is famous all across the world and social media platforms but when googling the real name, there is nothing that pops up and that is what the article was trying to prove with google as a platform. After reading this article, my thoughts on social media remain the same but some insight has been brought to my attention as in the beginning where it talked about a golden prison. Not many people realize that famous people do not have a lot of privacy as most of their lives and information are on the internet. When it comes to social media in the professional aspect of things, people always need to be careful to what they put on their accounts because one wrong move and all your information is out for the world to see. After reading this article, my thoughts on social media in the professional manner remain the same as the thoughts were confirmed.
